The first thing an employer is going to want to do when an employee comes forward with a discrimination claim, is to get the employee to put it down in writing so that the employer can see what the scope of the discrimination claim is. Then part of that, the employer is going to want to get the names of everybody who was involved in the supposed discrimination, as well as any potential witnesses, then the employer’s going to want to interview each of those individuals and get their side of the story before it makes a final determination as to the merits of the discrimination claim.
