Employers can, and they often do, allow some employees to work from home. However, the employer just needs to be careful about how it monitors the employee’s hours outside the office. They need to make sure that they are capturing all the time that’s worked. They also need to make sure that the employee is working during those hours. So, it’s a difficult balance, but an employer is allowed to do that. It just has to be careful about how it monitors that type of work.
