The best way for employers to minimize discrimination and retaliation claims is to provide training to both the employees and the supervisors, and there are courses out there that you can have someone come into your office and provide special training for the supervisors so they know what is not permissible, and they’ll know what is permissible, and they’ll understand areas that are sensitive to avoid when dealing with employees. And then you’ll have another training course for the employees so that they’ll also know what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in the workplace.
