Everybody involved in a lawsuit in Florida has one right of appeal. You can always ask a court higher than the court that tried your case to take a look at your case and see if the lower court judge did it right. Now, this is important because the lower court judges have many, many cases, and they are making decisions left and right.
The Appellate Court judges have time to sit and reflect. They have far fewer cases. And so sometimes, even the best trial court judge will make errors, and that’s what the Appellate Courts are for. So yes, you can appeal your decision if you are unhappy with it.
