I was injured in a Florida motorcycle accident, but I wasn’t wearing a helmet. Can I still recover damages from the other driver?

If you’re injured in a motorcycle accident while not wearing a helmet, you can still recover from the other driver. However, the other driver will be able to defend the case alleging that you were also negligent and caused your injuries that a helmet would have prevented. You may not be able to recover for those injuries that the helmet would have prevented.
